1. Who we are
RentSafe Spain ("RentSafe", "we", "us") is operated by Darcy Louise Renouf, a sole trader ("the Seller"). By using this website or purchasing a rental check, you are entering into an agreement with the Seller.
2. What we provide
RentSafe Spain is an informational tool that analyses rental listing text and draft lease contracts and returns automated risk flags based on common Spanish rental scams and the Ley de Arrendamientos Urbanos (LAU). The output is informational only and is not legal advice. For decisions that carry significant financial or legal consequences, consult a qualified Spanish abogado.
3. Acceptance
By using the service or completing a purchase, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you accept these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
- submit content you do not have the right to submit;
- attempt to interfere with, probe, scan, or reverse-engineer the service;
- use automated means to scrape, overload, or resell the service; or
- misrepresent the output of the service as legal advice from a qualified professional.
5. Intellectual property
The RentSafe Spain website, brand, methodology and generated report format are the property of the Seller. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and to keep and share the report you paid for. You keep ownership of the listing and contract text you paste in.
6. Service availability
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated flags will identify every risk in a listing or contract.
7. AI-generated content
Reports are generated by a large language model applied to the text you provide. The model may miss issues, flag issues that are not present, or misinterpret ambiguous wording. You are responsible for verifying anything important before acting on it, and for having the right to submit any text you paste in. RentSafe reports are not a substitute for professional legal, tax, or financial advice.
8. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. RentSafe Spain currently offers a single €9 one-off rental check with no subscription. All customer service, refund and support requests are handled by us directly — contact support@rentsafespain.com.
9. Refunds
See our Refund Policy for full details. In short: if a report is not useful, contact us within 30 days for a full refund. If our analysis fails after payment, we refund automatically.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service where a user materially breaches these Terms, where there is a security or fraud risk, or where required by law.
11. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid for the specific report giving rise to the claim. We do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Spanish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
