Madrid tightens scrutiny of 'temporada' contracts used as year-round housing
Consumer authorities in the Comunidad de Madrid have flagged an increase in seasonal ('temporada') contracts being marketed to workers and students who clearly need a habitual residence. Courts continue to reclassify these as vivienda habitual when the tenant's real use is permanent, which restores the 5/7-year minimum duration.
